OCULOIRE Project MkII is focused on community:

Open the window to your OCULOIRE eye and allow us a glimpse at your creative endeavors.

Over the next 12-18 months, OCULOIRE will be working on building its community of like-minded creators. 2024 submissions from like-minded producers of black and white imagery are currently considered for the following:

  • Collaborative posts and Instagram takeovers

  • The MKII Exhibit (TBD)

  • A Quarterly Hybrid Print + E-Zine

Consider the current iteration of auditory accompaniment as guidance for your BNW narratives. These playlists are meant to offer thematic suggestions for the presiding forms within your compositions. Rooted in our neo-noir approach and philosophies around black-and-white photography, the production of static imagery is largely inspired by rhythm and melody.  Additional genres and playlists are to be released.

A maximum of 20 images will be considered per submission, per month. (Submissions beyond this limit will not be considered.) Features and takeovers will be considered based on your responses below. Exhibit and zine submissions are to be considered and juried by a panel of veteran and established creators in the fields of street, urban landscape, and neo-noir photography.

Kindly review our articles of agreement before submitting any images to OCULOIRE. No fees are required at this moment for submission and consideration.*

*Note: Participation in exhibits and the production of zines may incur a cost, crowdfunded by the community but subsidized by OCULOIRE.

File formats should be submitted as follows—images outside this naming convention will not be considered:
